‘Enraptured’ photo shoot Pt1

Growing up I never saw myself as the model type and I didn’t realise that I had carried that into my adult years. Jeanette Young is an amazing stylist and a fashion designer so when she asked me to do some modelling for her company I felt honoured, shocked and excited all at the same time. It’s amazing how we can box ourselves and be placed on a shelf but we don’t even realise it. I guess I thought that way because I am not 6ft and a size 6 and to be honest, didn’t think I would be good enough. But I have to say this experience was one that I will not forget in a hurry. I absolutely loved being a model and would be more than happy to do more of this in the future. I suppose my experience was great because Jeanette is so organised and pursues excellence in all she does and I gravitate and work the best with people like that. If you’re looking for someone to help you with your overall style, wanting a fresh look or a makeover I would highly recommend her. It’s not just about clothing when she styles someone but she wants you to understand that ‘You wear the clothes, the clothes don’t wear you’. JYL

My hair colour was another issue…..! She kindly asked me if I would have it green for the shoot which I was quite reluctant to do. But in the end I agreed as I new it would work well with her vision. So I guess this is another aspect of creativity to add to my list; I’m a singer, dancer, speaker, blogger and a model. It feels amazing to be able to embrace the different aspects of my creativity. I have accepted that I was created for the arts, I love it more than I can articulate it and refuse to waste one of my talents/gifts. I don’t want you to waste anything you have either. What do you enjoy the most? What makes you come alive? Make sure you use that gift not only just for your enjoyment but to help someone else. There is always a greater purpose….
