What is ‘Be Uniquely You’ all about ?
Hi Everyone!
Thanks so much for stopping by to see what ‘Be uniquely You’ is about. I started this blog because I wanted to create a space where people could be celebrated for being themselves. I spent many years from childhood well into adulthood disliking who I was. I’ve realised my value and self worth and I want to inspire and encourage others to do the same.
I can remember going on holiday to Lanzarote with my sister and screaming at the top of my voice, ‘I’m not going out there like this’. I had a bikini on and what I saw in the mirror was a fat, unattractive person and I thought it would be better if no one saw me. I eventually stopped crying and forced myself to go outside. I still have the pictures from that holiday when I was 22. When I look at them now I see such beauty, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the way I looked. But I had entertained negativity for so long I convinced myself that a lie was truth…..
My dream is to see women (& young ladies) everywhere confident in who they are no matter how they look. I am definitely an advocate for living a healthy lifestyle and I do love to work out, but let’s go after our goals in a healthy way. I would love to contribute to your journey, even if it’s in a very small way. You deserve to feel great about yourself and love the person you are. The truth is you’re ‘Fabulous’ but you just might not know it yet. You have to live with yourself 365 days a year, 24 hours of the day; you might as well enjoy it!
