That Yellow Bodysuit

It’s been a while but I’m back and I’m so excited!

Can we just stop for one moment and show some love for my beautiful friend Jeanette Young London’s fashion skills! This yellow bodysuit is everything and so is the rest of her clothing line. From the moment I saw it, I couldn’t wait to try it on. This item is the first of a few i’ll be sharing on the blog, go and purchase yours here.

There was a time when I would never wear a top like this. Why? you ask, because of my boobs! If i’m going to be 100% honest I don’t have the perkiest pair, and I felt ashamed of them for years. When I was 17 and in college, I used to skip meals intentionally to lose weight and it worked. I had always been a size 8/10 on my torso and 10/12 around my hips. But during this period I was a size 6/8 all over and that was when I lost some of the elasticity in my breast’s. If you saw them you may have wondered what all the fuss was about, but through my eyes they were not great.

I struggled with it for so long but over the years and a long process of changing my thoughts from toxic negative ones to daily positive ones, I feel great about them now. It is what it is and beauty fades anyway so I might as well learn to love them regardless. Ladies, there is so much power in accepting yourself just the way you are. The fact that I can share this post completely unashamed is a big deal and a testament to my freedom. I posted a quote on Twitter this week that sums up exactly how I feel:

‘The way we see ourselves is very often through the lens of criticism, look at yourself through a different lens’

That is exactly what I have done, I think I look great in this bodysuit and so do my boobs, lol! I really hope this helps and feel free to post a comment below to get a conversation going
