Out with the old & in with the new
Shirts and fluffy jumpers are a real trend this season so, I went online searching for a shirt and jumper combo; when I saw the prices, I realised there was no more money in my budget this month for any more shopping purchases, ha ha.
I took a look in my wardrobe to see what I could rustle up. I had completely forgotten that this Primark jumper from 5 years ago was sitting happily in the back waiting for me to take it out. Sometimes, we really don’t need to buy new things to be on trend and very often, you just have to look at what you have and make it work.
This scenario reminds me of life a little. We can be very quick to say ‘out with the old and in with the new’. My question for you is, who or what do you have in your life right now that your thinking of getting rid of that actually deserves a second glance. Friends that are trying your patience and going through things you don’t feel you have time for, maybe it’s a family member. Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely times when a clear out is needed but sometimes, we just need to stop assess the situation and gain new perspective. Sometimes the old things in our lives are the most valuable.
