Congratulations on your new clothing line, why the name ‘Kingdom Swagger’?

I’ve always been passionate about the Kingdom, and how we can represent it on earth. What would that look like? There are many ways to do that like healing the sick, but I wanted to bring the Kingdom where ever I go even with unconventional methods.

‘Swagger’ was more simple, it’s a modern term that’s best explained when you look stylish. I felt both names best described what I was trying to create, a Christian clothing line which expressed faith and identity both to self and those who would see it.

What is the message you want people to get when they see your designs?

I want the designs to testify to people when they wear it, and also to speak to them as they walk past wearing it. Not everyone is confident in speaking about their faith, but I know that some people are confident to wear a T-shirt that speaks to every person who reads it. The messages are all different, but the source is Jesus Christ and I want my clothing to trigger and remind people.

Where do you see the brand in 5 years?

In five years I see it in well known stores in England but, also in other countries even possibly our own store.

Is there a particular person you are targeting, or is ‘Kingdom Swagger’ for everyone?

Kingdom swagger is for everyone, even if you never buy an item of clothing, I want it to impact people far and wide. Regarding my target market, it’s directed at Christians as well as people who want to wear clothing with a positive and encouraging message.

Is there anyone you would like to collaborate with?

I would love to work along side Toure Roberts and Ron Carpenter, because they have invested so much into my life. They aren’t designers but what they say is so relevant and life transforming, I would love to incorporate it and have them on our designs.

If you could go anywhere in the world all-expense paid, where would it be and why?

Jamaica, hotel Rui! It’s one of my favourite holiday destinations!

Who inspires you?

I have a Pastor at my church called Pastor Enid, she inspires me! No matter what the decision is, God is the centre of it all and she doesn’t move without Him. My mother is such a powerful and giving woman and her heart for others reminds me of Christ, she inspires me to be better. My best friend Nic inspires me to be a better person and her uncomplicated approach to Love is inspiring.

What’s next for ‘kingdom Swagger’

New designs, widening the team. Releasing our other collections: ‘Kingdom Culture’ – which is mixing culture with casual wear and ‘Kingdom Kids’ for the children. Keep your eyes peeled, big things are coming!
